A meeting was held at BJP headquarters Jawahar Nagar between district president Srinagar Ashok Bhatt & a group of BJP workers who are elected representatives holding office as corporators in Srinagar Municipal Corporation, a statement issued by BJP said.
BJP said that the meeting was organized on the completion of one year of the second term of central Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
“Notable persons who were present in the meeting included publicity Secretary Arif Raja (Corporator Nawa Kadal), District General Secretary Srinagar Wajahat Hussain (Corporator Lal Chowk), vice president Srinagar Bashir Ahmed Mir (Corporator Baghi Mehtab), District vice president Srinagar Sumaira Shah (Corporator Dalgate), District Secretary Srinagar Mohammed Hanief (Corporator Batamaloo), Constituency president Zadibal Arif Baba (Corporator Zadibal) and Shafiq Ahmed Zaldar (Corporator Dargah Hazratbal),” BJP said.
“Corporators are first & important link between the common people & administration. They are the voice of the common man & are in a better position to understand the needs & demands of society. They are elected ones and naturally many hopes are pinned on them,” Ashok Bhat said.
“The corporators pledged to strengthen their efforts & maximize public outreach by following the guidelines issued in consonance with party guidelines like individual contact campaign, Digital outreach & virtual dialogue so that they could serve people in a much better way,” BJP said.
