COVID-19: 22 more die, JK toll rises to 1084

With 1104 cases, JK’s infection count rises to 68,614

 Twenty two more COVID-19 positive persons died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1084 while Thursday witnessed 1104 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 68,614, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 14 from Jammu division and eight from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1084 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 801 from Kashmir and 283 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 277 deaths, Baramulla 121, Budgam 80, Pulwama and Kupwara 64 each, Anantnag 62, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 34, Shopian 30, and Ganderbal 26.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 154 deaths, Rajouri 30, Doda 24, Kathua 19, Samba 18, Udhampur 10, Poonch nine, Ramban eight, six from Kishtwar and five from Reasi.
On Thursday, J&K reported 1104 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 624 from Jammu and 480 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 68,614.
The government said of the total 14,87,962 test results available, 14,19,348 returned negative and 68,614 positive which include 19,451 active positive cases while 48,079 have recovered and been discharged including the 1549 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,58,098 persons had been put under observation including 15,800 in home quarantine and 19,451 in isolation while 54,586 people are under home surveillance and 4,67,177 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 13,800 cases, Budgam 4595, Baramulla 4105, Pulwama 3708, Anantnag 3380, Kupwara 3346, Bandipora 3274, Ganderbal 2740,
Kulgam 2224, and Shopian 1970.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 11,147 cases, Rajouri 2357, Udhampur 1988, Doda 1958, Kathua 1854, Samba 1576, Poonch 1555, Ramban 1209, Kishtwar 997, and Reasi 831.
