Film on drug menace screened at SKICC

Seven2Creation production in association with Safdar-Arts Monday screened a featured film ‘Kashmir Daily- Story of a journalist’ here at Sheri-e-Kashmir International Conventional Complex (SKICC) Srinagar.
The film has been certified by the Central Board of Film certification under ‘U’ category which reads that the film can be released at national and international level.
The director, writer and producer of the film Hussain Khan said it is being released in bilingual languages in Kashmiri and Urdu.
Mir Sarwar has played the lead role in the film depicting the life of an editor of a newspaper on screen. Neelam Singh is playing the lead role of a reporter on screen.
The theme of the film is the drug menace among the young generation of Kashmir valley and the role of the journalist while doing sting operation and investigative reporting is to unmask the people associated with this illegal business.
The screening of the film began yesterday at Sheri-e-Kashmir International Conventional Complex (SKICC) Srinagar and will continue till April 3, 2017 every day except Fridays. There will be two daily shows at 12:10 pm and 3:30 pm.
After completing the first half of the film Director Khan distributed certificates among the artists of the film.
In the inaugural address Khan said, “The film is all about the drug menace among youth. The film couldn’t have been possible if many artists would not have contributed by working without a single penny,”
Khan added it has taken him more than three years to complete the film.
On the occasion Tourism Director Farooq Ahmad Shah was the Chief Guest.
The film ‘Kashmir Daily-Story of a Journalist’ is Jammu and Kashmir Tourism and co supported by sponsored by Rising Kashmir, All India Radio (AIR), Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), JK Police, Youth Welfare, Big 92.7 FM, Times Master, Khyber, SEN channel, Lake city college of Education, and C-Next TV.
Director of the film Hussain Khan also said that the tickets for the upcoming shows will be available at, Al-Abbas Travels Dalgate, NFS tour and travels CD near CD hospital, Al-Hadreya Travels Boulevard Dalgate, Kashmir Trip Advisor Abi-Guzar Lal Chowk, Hasnan Travels Budgam, M. Javid Travels Lal-Bazar, Common Seervice Centre Shalimar, Tariq Ganderbali Ganderbal, Valley Star Sports Baghat, Imran Farooq Sonwar, Akhoon Telecom Saidakadal.
