‘Khyri Aam Trust starts langar service for poor’

Khyri Aam Trust, a social organization founded by late Qazi Nissar today started a free Langar service at Aastan e Aaliya of Hazrat Reshi (RA) in Anantnag for the poor and needy. 

A statement issued by Ummat e Islami said,  “The same was inaugurated by Mirwaiz Yasir and more 200 poor people were served lunch in the shrine quadrangle.” Statement added that Mirwaiz Yasir while inaugurating the same said: “There is a dire need for such initiatives as there is a scarcity of hospitals and healthcare in Kashmir, people from far-flung areas visit  the hospitals in towns and have no access to food, we have just began and hope there will be a follow up of such initiatives.”

Statement said Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir condemned the “attack” on the Chairman of Karwaan e Islami, Moulana Ghulam Rasool Hami by a few drunkards at Qamarwari.

Statement quoting Yasir  said, “Such incidents are just to stop Hami sahib from continuing the anti-alcohol campaign in Kashmir.”

Statement said, addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid,  the chairman of Ummat e Islami and Mirwaiz South Kashmir condemned the police action on students at JNU Delhi. 

Statement added he said no democratic civilized society thrashed its students only for having a different opinion.
